Life in Montana

Well, after about a year and a half of being here we finally settled into our own home. It isn't much, but it is ours. It is also brand new. We are the first people to live in it. It has an unfinished lower level which we plan on turning into a guest suite. We're going on that, "if you built it, he will come," theory hoping that once we get a place to stay our friends and family will come visit us.

Trevor is doing well, growing like a weed and changing everyday as I'm sure most kids do. We all like it here, but he and I do miss CA. (I think the weather is the biggest factor in that.) We decorated his room with a flame theme. It looks pretty cool if I do say so myself! I'm very proud of my work. This year Trevor will be in first grade. He seems like he's the smartest boy I know. I could, of course, be biased :)

Mike is also doing well. He has been with the same plumbing company just about the entire time we've been here. A couple more years and he can go out on his own if he wants to. That would be nice right now because houses are going up at an alarming rate around here. We'll see what it is like when he qualifies to have his own business and go from there. He came home with a quad not too long ago. Boys and their toys! I guess living with lots of country around makes the boys feel the need to have stuff like that. What's next? A boat? Goodness me I hope not. We need to spend less money and save more!

I have it pretty easy here. I have a job that allows me to focus on the boys at home. I'm an office manager for a small janitorial company here. It is such easy work that I have time to make blogs during the work day! The big plus is that I don't ever have to take my work home, not even think about it once I walk out the door. What more could a mom ask for (other than get to stay home).

Our puppy has grown amazingly fast. He is about twice the size of Trevor. His is the biggest sweetheart and so, so cute! He is definately a family dog. He's always getting love from each of us and doesn't seem to favor anyone in particular, although he does seem to listen to Mike more than he does Trev and me. I'm so glad we got him. Having never had a dog before I wasn't sure what it would be like, but he was very easy to train and just adds so much love to our family.
